I have always been intrigued by artists who make the ordinary into the extraordinary. Broken floor tiles become a dramatic mosaic landscape. Fragile willow branches are woven together to create a striking headboard. Melted glass bottles are formed into an exquisite vessel. Once I even saw corrugated cardboard transformed into a stunning wall piece.
These influences are at the heart of Loki ArtWorks Jewelry. An antique silver spoon loses its utilitarian identity to become the essence of a delicate necklace. A sheet of old copper roofing is cut, pounded and shaped into layers, twists and dragonfly wings.
I put a little of myself into each custom piece that I create. I get back twice as much in satisfaction. I hope you enjoy these light hearted pieces as much as I enjoy making them.
